Your privacy is important to us. It is ForthRoute's policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect from you across our app and website.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information to provide returns management and routing services to you (the "Merchant") and your customers (the "End Users").

A. Information from Merchants

When you install the App, we automatically access specific data from your Shopify account:

Store Information: Shop URL, shop ID, primary currency, and timezone.
Contact Information: Merchant name, email address, and phone number associated with the store.

B. Information from End Users

To facilitate the returns process, we process the following data relating to your customers:

Order Data: Order IDs, product details (SKUs, prices), and transaction dates.
Personal Identifiers: Customer names, email addresses, shipping addresses, and phone numbers.
Return Data: Reasons for return, return method preferences, and images uploaded.

2. How We Use Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

Service Provision: To process return requests, verify eligibility, and generate RMA numbers.
Communication: To send authentication emails and status notifications to End Users on your behalf.
Logistics: To generate prepaid shipping labels by sharing necessary address data with shipping carriers.

3. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell Merchant or End User personal data. We only share information with third parties in the following limited circumstances:

Shopify: To integrate with your store’s orders and inventory systems.
Shipping Carriers: Names and addresses are shared to generate shipping labels.
Service Providers: We use third-party vendors for hosting and email delivery who process data solely on our behalf.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law.

4. Data Retention

We retain Merchant and End User information for as long as the App is installed on your Shopify store. If you uninstall the App, we will delete or anonymize your store’s data within 90 days of uninstallation, unless legally required to retain it.

5. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information. We use industry-standard encryption (TLS/SSL) for data in transit and secure cloud infrastructure for data at rest.

6. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or California, you have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you.

For End Users: As we act as a data processor on behalf of the Merchant, End User requests regarding data access or deletion should be directed to the Merchant.
